Why Canada PGWP New Programs introduced?
The PGWP provides a golden opportunity to the international graduates to work in Canada for more than three years after finishing their studies. After changing the range of qualifying programs, the country opens more doors for such pupils to get local work understanding, an important chance for those who want to get permanent residency in Canada.
Canada currently provides educational services to more than a million international students. But the government wants to alleviate the temporary residents ratio from 6.5% of the total temporary population to at least 5% before 2026. This is directly linked with IRCC’s strategy to control the immigration levels more effectively.
