Vacancies
The number of vacancies for recruitment of Teaching positions in the LPS and UPS under the Directorate of Elementary Education is discoloration with the release of advertisement, there are a total number of 4500 vacancies. Out of which, 2600 posts are for Lower Primary Schools, and remaining 1900 posts are for the Upper Primary Schools.
Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criterias for the recruitment against the Teaching positions under the DEE, Assam is available below in terms of educational qualification and age limit for Upper & Lower Primary Schools
Educational Qualification
- Assistant Teacher (Lower Primary – LP): Higher Secondary, 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education or 4-Year Bachelor’s of Elementary Education & CTET/ATET Paper-II
- Assistant Teacher (Upper Primary: Higher Secondary, Bachelor’s degree in Science/Commerce/Arts, 2-Year D.El.Ed/B.Ed & CTET/ATET Paper-II.
- Science Teacher (Upper Primary): Higher Secondary, Bachelor’s degree in Science, 2-Year D.El.Ed/B.Ed + CTET/ATET Paper-II.
- Hindi Teacher (Upper Primary): Higher Secondary, Bachelor’s degree in Hindi, 2-Year D.El.Ed/B.Ed and CTET/ATET Paper-II.
Age Limit
- The candidate’s age shouldn’t be below 18 years and above 40 years.
- The upper age relaxation is applicable for 2 years for Ex-Servicemen, 3 years for MOBC/OBC, 5 years for SC/ST(P&H), and 10 years for Physical Challenged.
Application Fee
In order to submit the application form from the DEE Assam Teacher Recruitment 2025, a candidate isn’t required to pay any application fee whether he/she belongs to UR, OBC, MOBC, SC, ST(P), ST(H), Ex-Servicemen or Physical Challenged.
Selection Process
The selection for the various Teaching positions under the Directorate of Elementary Education, Assam is going to be done on the basis of individuals’ performance in the qualifying examination, whose details are available below.
Assistant Teacher (Lower Primary)
- Higher Secondary: 5 marks
- Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed): 5 marks
- TET (Assam/Central): 85 marks
- NCC/Sports/Culture: 5 marks (maximum)
Assistant Teacher (Upper Primary)
- Higher Secondary: 5 marks
- Graduation: 5 marks
- Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or B.Ed: 5 marks
- TET (Assam/Central): 80 marks
- NCC/Sports/Culture: 5 marks (maximum)
Science Teacher (Upper Primary)
- Higher Secondary: 5 marks
- Graduation (B.Sc.): 5 marks
- Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or B.Ed: 5 marks
- TET (Assam/Central): 80 marks
- NCC/Sports/Culture: 5 marks (maximum)
Hindi Teacher (Upper Primary)
- Higher Secondary: 5 marks
- Graduation (with Hindi as a subject): 5 marks
- Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or B.Ed: 5 marks
- TET (Assam/Central): 80 marks
- NCC/Sports/Culture: 5 marks (maximum)
Candidates should know that the merit list is going to be prepared on the basis of eligibility criterias, individuals who will be shortlisted will be called for the Document Verification and appointment.
