Jio recently announced changes to its ₹69 and ₹139 prepaid data add-on plans. Previously, these data plans had the same validity as the customer’s base plan, which means that they remained valid as long as the primary plan was active. But Jio disclosed a standalone validity for data prepaid plans of Rs 69 and Rs 139.
The validity of these data plans will remain active for a few days, which is different from the previous one. Reliance Jio’s Rs 69 data plan offers 6GB of data and its validity is limited to at least 7 days only. From now on, the data plan can work only if the customer will have a base active prepaid plan from Jio.
Reliance Jio Data Plan Validity Change
On Friday, 31 January 2025, Jio gave a big shock to its customers. Reliance Jio announced changes in its plan. Jio declared the change in the validity of its Rs 69 and Rs 139 data prepaid plans. The organization has announced these changes in the data-on pack. Earlier Jio customers were able to receive the same validity as the active plan, but from now on this plan is going to provide limited validity.
For instance, if the customer’s base plan had a validity of 42 days left, then these data vouchers can also be there for at least 42 days. However, Jio has now changed the validity of these plans and offered them their own incomparable validity. It means that their validity will be restricted for a few days only.
Reliance Jio’s Rs 69 Data Plan
Reliance Jio’s Rs 69 data plan comes with 6GB data and its validity is restricted only for seven days before the changes. But from now this plan is going to face changes in its validity. It means that the plan will work only when the customers have a Jio’s base active prepaid plan.
It is also very crucial to know that the cheapest data plan of Jio starts with Rs 11 for only one hour. Whereas the less costly one day validity data plan can come in only Rs 19 with 1GB of data. Jio customers from the whole India can utilize these plans.
Reliance Jio Rs 139 Data Plan
Whereas Jio’s Rs 139 data plan comes with 12GB data. If we talk about its validity, this plan can be valid only for seven days before the changes just like Reliance Jio’s Rs 69 data plan. But from now, there are some changes occurring in its validity.
This plan will work only if the customer’s have Jio’s base active prepaid plan. Reliance Jio’s Rs 69 and Rs 139 data plan were the only two data plans of Jio that came with the same validity as the customers base active plan.
What are the Other Key Changes of Reliance Jio Data Plans?
Reliance Jio recently announced the new prepaid plans for its users. These newly introduced plans include voice and SMS-only plans. But the positive thing of this change is that these plans can support all the data plans that Jio offers.
Until yet, there were two data plans that these changes, such as new voice and SMS-only plans, didn’t support – Rs 69 as well as Rs 139. But after the announced changes, these data plans will also be able to be supported with these benefits.
The main reason behind these changes is that Jio also announced changes in the validity of the Rs 69 and Rs 139 data plans. It is also important to know that Jio recently declared the comeback of the Rs 189 plan. This plan can provide the same benefits as it was offered before like 300 SMS, 2GB of data, and unlimited voice calling.
What Will be the Support Voice and SMS Only Plans Validity?
Recently, Jio Reliance declared that all Jio’s data plans will have a standalone validity, and all of them can work with the voice and SMS-only data plans. The two voice and SMS-only data plans recently offered by Jio are Rs 448 as well as Rs 1748 data plans.
With these data plans, users will be able to get a truly unlimited voice calling but a limited number of SMS. The validity of Rs 1748 plan is restricted for 336 days whereas the Rs 448 plan can offer a maximum service validity of 84 days.
