- A candidate must have pursued a Bachelor’s degree (BTech/BE) in Civil Engineering from an institution recognised by the All India Council of Technical Education.
- Additionally, the individual must have adequate knowledge of reading, writing and speaking Bengali language.
- The individual’s age shouldn’t be below 21 and above 36 years, the upper age relaxation is applicable as per government rules.
WBPSC AE Application Fee 2025
In order to apply for recruitment of AE (Civil), a candidate who belongs to Unreserved, Other Backward Class or Economically Weaker Section is required to deposit the application fee of ₹210/- with the 18% GST. Individuals who belong to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes and Person with Benchmark Disability are exempted from the payment of the application fee.
WBPSC AE Selection Process 2024
The selection process for recruitment of Assistant Engineer (Civil) in the various Engineering Departments consists of multiple stages, which are Written Exam and Interview. You may check the details about the each stage of selection process by going through the step-by-step points:
- Written Exam: It is likely to be administered in the second quarter of 2025, there will be a total number of 100 MCQs of each 2 marks from different sections. There will be no provision of negative marking, to touch all MCQs all applicants will get an exam time duration of 02 hours.
- Interview. The second stage of the selection process is likely to be administered within two months after the release of the result for the Written Examination, it will be administered in the face-to-face mode with a time duration of approximately 30 to 45 minutes, whose weightage will be 100 marks.
